Mitsubishi, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of heat pumps, has reinforced copper’s superior performance in renewable energy systems, by insisting that only copper hot water cylinders, such as McDonald Engineers POWERflow 2000 unvented cylinders, are used in conjunction with their new advanced Ecodan heat pump systems.
The news adds further weight to McDonald Engineers’ campaign to promote copper’s green credential when it comes to heat transfer and recyclability - as well as its bacteria killing properties.

Another Successful POWERflow 2000 Course


Two more successful POWERflow 2000 courses were completed this week. We are delighted to announce that everybody passed with flying colours.
We would also like to announce that the dates for our next two courses are Wednesday the 17th of June and Wednesday the 1st of July and some spaces are still available.
The course lasts for one day, which includes an informative factory tour. You will then transfer to 1st Class Gas training premises in Glenrothes, where a light lunch, tea and coffee will be provided. On passing the test, a recognised BPEC certificate and card will be issued.
The cost for the course will be £190 + VAT (per person). This includes:-
- 3 no £25 + VAT Vouchers for use with future orders of POWERflow 2000 units
- Registration to BPEC
Recent courses have filled very quickly and as we operate a “first come, first serve” system, early booking is essential to guarantee a place.
